Find what's missing
By the end of this step you'll have found the parts of Ridgeline nobody wrote down, which is where problems hide.
Compare the two lists
You have two lists of the warehouse's tables:
- What the docs say: the "Warehouse datasets" section near the end of
welcome-pack.md. - What's really there:
warehouse-tables.csv.
The AI in the last step may have spotted the differences. Check them yourself now; this is the step where you can't afford a guess.
- In your spreadsheet, sort
warehouse-tables.csvbydataset, then bytable. (Google Sheets: select the data, Data → Sort range → Advanced range sorting options, tick Data has header row. Excel: Data → Sort.) - Go down the welcome pack's list one line at a time. For each table it mentions, find it in the spreadsheet and colour that row (or type "yes" in a new column).
- Every row without a mark is a table that exists but isn't documented.
Your turn
Which tables exist that the welcome pack never mentions?
Why this matters
Each undocumented table is a question:
- Who set it up? If nobody knows, nobody will notice when it breaks.
- Is anyone using it? A report might depend on it without anyone realising.
- Is it still running? A table that stopped updating weeks ago may mean a job quietly died.
You don't answer these today. You write them down. On day one, finding the right questions is the job.
